Last December, Michel Simard, ANIM* Commercial Trade and Investment Coordinator was in Caen to sign a partnership agreement with Normandy, following ICT Project Manager Sylvain Dorrière’s mission to Canada.
The agreement will develop cooperation between Normandy and Manitoba Province with a view to establishing new business opportunities between the regions, with a focus on food processing, port facilities, information and communication technologies, biotechnology and life sciences, transportation and logistics.
For the purpose of experience and information sharing, the ANIM Coordinator met with businesses and institutional stakeholders. The mutual impetus to disseminate knowledge about their respective regions has thus facilitated commercial trade and the attraction of new investments in Normandy.
Normandie Développement, in conjunction with the two regions, is continuing its prospecting efforts by organizing another round of meetings and exchanges on Information and Communication Technologies scheduled next May in the West of Canada.
